Search for Mr Oil Drop - Official Contest Rules
1. Search for Mr. Oil Drop is conducted by the Winnipeg Free Press and is open to all residents of Manitoba who have reached the age of majority except, employees of the Winnipeg Free Press and MARRC, their affiliated companies, their advertising and promotional agencies, and all persons with whom they are domiciled;

2. A certificate laminated in plastic is hidden - not the actual cash. This certificate represents $5,000 cash if found and redeemed prior to 3:00 p.m. on the final day of the current game.

3. The certificate is hidden in an OUTDOOR PLACE accessible to the public within the city limits as outlined on a City of Winnipeg map. The certificate will remain hidden until it is found or until 3:00 p.m. on Friday, the day the final clue for that game is published in the paper.

4. There will be 3 games; each starting on a Monday and ending on the following Friday. Game one will run June 28 – July 2, Game two will run July 12 – 16, 2010 and Game three will run July 26 – 30, 2010.

5. There is no need to trespass on personal private property that is not accessible to the public. There is no need to break any laws, dig anything up, take anything apart, endanger yourself or damage anything in order to get at the certificate.

6. The Winnipeg Free Press and the contest sponsors are not responsible for any damages or injuries incurred while searching for the certificate.

7. There is only one certificate per game. Only one person may claim the prize. Once the certificate is found, the winner must have it verified (by 5:00 p.m. on the day that it is found. Monday - Friday) at the Winnipeg Free Press and no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, the day the final clue is published in the paper for that game. The certificate can only be redeemed during regular business hours (Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.). If it is found after 5:00 p.m. on Friday or on Saturday or Sunday, it must be redeemed the following Monday morning. There is a phone number on the certificate to call and claim the prize so that the website can be changed for other participants.

8. No purchase necessary, clues will be posted at the Winnipeg Free Press, 1355 Mountain Ave during regular business hours; Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

9. All winners must correctly answer a mathematical time-limited skill-testing question.

10. A clue will be posted daily at 9:00 a.m. on winnipegfreepress.com/contests. Participants must have that day’s promo code found in the Winnipeg Free Press to access the clue. If the certificate is not found by the deadline, (see rule 7) $5,000 will be added to the following games prize. If the final game's certificate is not found by the deadline, clues will continue to be published until the certificate is found.

11. One BONUS clue per game can be obtained at any Manitoba Used Oil Recycling location. Clues will be available (Wednesday – Friday of each game) to any participant that drops off a used oil container for recycling.

12. Entrants, by entering this contest, consent to the use of their name and/or photograph, without compensation, in any future publicity carried out by the Winnipeg Free Press or contest sponsor in connection with this contest.

13. Winners must sign a release form stating that all the rules of this contest were complied with.

14. The contest judges will have the final decision on any interpretation of the contest rules.

15. By entering this contest, you acknowledge acceptance of all contest rules and agree to be bound by them.
